“A goal without a plan is just a wish.”
For a long time, those words resonated with Leslie and Mac Brooks, who dreamt of selling the house where they were raising their daughters and moving to a new neighborhood. Searching online for new homes became somewhat of a pastime for the family, but they didn’t actually have a strategy in place to move.
“It had always been our plan to move to another school district when the girls were ready to go into middle school. For so long, we just felt like it wasn’t going to happen,” Leslie said.

Francine Bethune, the Licensed Local Expert who worked with the Brooks, said the entire process moved quickly. “We listed their home on Sept. 21, 2017, and it went under contract on Oct. 3. They ended up getting multiple offers.”
Francine noted the family closed on both homes—their new dream home and their previous property—on the same day, within just two hours.
For so long, the Brooks dreamt of moving their family to a new school district but had no idea how they would actually follow through with that plan. In a matter of weeks, they made it happen.
“Without Knock, we would still be staring at houses online and not doing anything about it,” Mac Brooks said.
His wife agreed: “We’d still be wishing and dreaming. And now, we’re living.”
